The Business Travel Innovation Faceoff is held across three regional editions — Asia Pacific, Europe, and America — during our flagship Business Travel Shows. Each Faceoff showcases exciting new products and services transforming managed travel and meetings, giving innovators the opportunity to pitch on stage to corporate travel and meetings buyers in their region and the chance to win an annual Business Travel Innovator Award.

Why the Business Travel Innovation Faceoff

GLOBAL EXPOSURE
Present your innovation to qualified corporate travel buyers, procurement leaders, and consultants. Your pitch will be featured in show promotions, listed on the event website and app, and made available on demand.

LIVE STAGE IMPACT
Deliver a high-energy, 7-minute presentation followed by Q&A from expert judges and the audience. Compete for the regional titles and gain valuable feedback from senior industry practitioners.

ONGOING VISIBILITY
Your session recording, company profile, and judges’ commentary remain hosted online after the event—continuing to reach global corporate travel audiences long after the show.

Eligibility

We welcome applications from:

  • Established suppliers and innovators with managed business travel, meetings or business traveller products, technologies or services launched during or after 2024.

  • Start-up or emerging companies incorporated during or after 2024 who wish to be considered for a scholarship presenter slot.

How it works

Across all three regional shows, the format is consistent:

  • Up to 7 minutes of presentation time

  • 4 minutes of questions from a panel of expert judges (corporate travel buyers, a BTN editor and the previous year’s winner)

  • 2 minutes of audience Q&A

Judges select a winner and audiences vote for a People’s Choice winner.

Presenters receive:

  • One complimentary event registration for the presenter. Additional registrations for colleagues can be purchased

  • Listing on the official show website and mobile app

  • Inclusion in attendee promotions and event communications

  • An MP4 recording of your session post-event

  • On-demand portal of all Innovation Faceoff presentations

  • A shot at being handed a trophy on the Knowledge Arena stage on the show floor

*Winners have the option to purchase an awards logo license

Fees and Licensing

1) Presenters must select either the standard presenter fee or the scholarship presenter fee (eligible startups incorporated in or after 2024).

2) Presenters may also choose to add the optional licensing fee: required for use of the 2027 Business Travel Show Innovation Faceoff winner logos.

Asia Pacific

  • Presenter fee | $18,000 USD (four available)

    • 7-minute live presentation with 4-minutes of judges’ Q&A and 2-minutes of audience Q&A

    • One complimentary registration for the presenter. Additional registrations for colleagues can be purchased at $150 USD each

    • 250-character company description and logo to be included on the Business Travel Innovation page on the Business Travel Show APAC registration website

    • Presenting companies will be featured in at least one attendee promotion sent to the BTN Group database of 8,000 Asia Pacific corporate travel managers and procurement professionals

    • Presentations will be made available on demand on a dedicated website and promoted to the BTN Group database of Asia Pacific corporate travel managers and procurement professionals in May

    • MP4 video file recording of your presentation (two weeks after the event)  

    Scholarship presenter fee | $6,000 USD (two available)

    Only available for start-up/emerging companies that were incorporated during or after 2024.

    • 7-minute live presentation with 4-minutes of judges’ Q&A and 2-minutes of audience Q&A

    • One complimentary registration for the presenter. Additional registrations for colleagues can be purchased at $150 USD each

    • 7-minute live presentation with 4-minutes of judges’ Q&A and 2-minutes of audience Q&A

    • One complimentary registration for the presenter. Additional registrations for colleagues can be purchased at £265.00 + vat per person

    • 250-character company description and logo to be included on the Business Travel Innovation page on the Business Travel Show Europe registration site

    • Presenting companies will be featured in at least one attendee promotion sent to the BTN Group database of 10,000 European corporate travel managers and procurement professionals

    • Presentations will be made available on demand on a dedicated website and promoted to the BTN Group database of European corporate travel managers and procurement professionals in August

    • MP4 video file recording of your presentation (two weeks after the event)

    • 250-character company description and logo to be included on the Business Travel Innovation page on the Business Travel Show America registration site

    • Presenting companies will be featured in at least one attendee promotion sent to the BTN Group database of 40,000 corporate travel managers and procurement professionals

    • Presentations will be made available on demand on a dedicated website and promoted to the BTN Group database of 40,000 corporate travel managers and procurement professionals in November

    • MP4 video file recording of your presentation (two weeks after the event)  

    Scholarship presenter fee | $9,500 USD. (Two available)

    Only available for startup/emerging companies that were incorporated during or after 2024.

    • 7-minute live presentation with 4-minutes of judges’ Q&A and 2-minutes of audience Q&A

Europe

  • Location:Business Travel Show Europe, Excel, London

  • Date: 23-24 June 2027

  • Applications deadline: 15 February 2027

  • Accepted applicants notified by: 15 March 2027

  • Accepted applicants have five days from notification to confirm their participation or they forfeit the opportunity to present.

  • Non-refundable fee due: 19 April 2027

  • Audience and presentation:The Business Travel Innovation Faceoff Europe presentations will take place in front of an audience of 100+ hosted buyers during the pre-show conference of the Business Travel Show Europe on 22 June.

  • Winner announcement:The winner will be announced on the Knowledge Arena stage on the show floor.

America

  • Location:Business Travel Show America, Javits Center, NYC

  • Date: September 29-30 2027

  • Application deadline: May 10, 2027

  • Accepted applicants notified by: June 14 2027

  • Accepted applicants have five business days from notification to confirm their participation or they forfeit the opportunity to present.

  • Non-refundable fee due: July 12, 2027

  • Presentation: The Business Travel Innovation Faceoff America presentation will take place in the main theatre at Business Travel Show America.

  • Audience: Presentations will take place in front of an audience up to 500+ buyers.

  • Winner announcement:The winner will be announced on the Knowledge Arena stage on the show floor.

About the awards

  • It’s a live pitch platform where innovators showcase new products, technologies or services that support managed business travel, meetings or business travellers. Presenters pitch on stage at BTN’s regional Business Travel Shows.

  • This varies by show:

    • Asia Pacific: up to 6 presenters

    • Europe: up to 10 presenters

    • America: up to 12 presenters

ELIGIBILITY

  • Suppliers and innovators who launched a managed business travel, meetings or traveller-focused product, technology or service during or after 2024.

  • Start-up or emerging companies incorporated during or after 2024

Application process

  • Complete the online application form for your chosen region before the stated deadline.

  • BTN Group staff will review your application. If selected, you’ll be notified by email by the regional notification date.

  • You must confirm within five business days of being notified. If you don’t, your place may be given to another applicant.

  • The non-refundable presenter fee must be paid by the region’s payment deadline.

Presentation format

  • Each presenter receives:

    • 7 minutes to present

    • 4 minutes of judges’ Q&A

    • 2 minutes of audience Q&A

  • Yes. Presenters may use slides, video or product demos as long as they fit within the 7-minute window.

  • Judging panels typically include corporate travel buyers, consultants, a BTN editor, and the previous year’s winner.

Fees and what’s included

  • Yes. There is no fee to apply, but if selected each region has its own presenter fee and scholarship presenter fee.

  • All presenters receive:

    • one complimentary registration

    • their company description and logo on the registration site and mobile app

    • inclusion in at least one attendee promotion

    • hosting of their presentation on the BTN on-demand portal

    • an MP4 recording of their presentation (delivered ~two weeks post-event)

    • post-show promotion to BTN’s regional buyer database

  • Yes, additional registrations can be purchased at the regional rate stated in the presenter package.

Licensing

  • Winners may licence the official winner logo for use across print, digital and other media.
